I became a partner in Stewart & Co in 1983 having previously been an audit manager with one of the large international accounting firms in Auckland.  With a total of almost 40 years experience in Chartered Accounting, I have experience in most areas and also the contacts required to provide the specialist knowledge which, from time to time is definitely needed in our complex world of taxation and business matters.

Specialties I enjoy most are trusts and company structures, together with valuation and appraisal work and new business start ups.  I also have a number of Australian clients that we act for with branches in New Zealand.

Previous charitable work has included acting as treasurer of the Auckland SPCA, one of the larger charities in Auckland.

I am married with three adult children and one delightful grandson.  Outside of work, I enjoy fishing, golf, motor racing and, most definitely, holidays!  I own and race a Peugeot 106 in tarmac rally events and also in track events.  Although enjoyable, I can confirm that motor racing does not meet the status of a good monetary investment!
