I originally joined Stewart & Co in 2005, choosing to work once again with Dale Smith who had trained me when I first started work as a graduate accountant (some ten years earlier).

In the years in between I travelled to the UK and worked in the media industry as a commercial accountant, evaluating new TV channel ideas!  I also had a brief stint at teachers training college before I quickly realised that teaching teenagers accounting was more about how to control the classroom than any actual teaching.  I therefore returned to CA work where I can use my teaching skills to assist our staff and clients.

In 2010 I left Stewart & Co to undertake a short term contract as a commercial accountant for a group of companies in the Health & Beauty and Hospitality industries.  The purpose of the role was to improve their management reporting and to transition the group to a new accounting system.  I believe that this role has given me valuable experience and a greater understanding of my clients needs.

These days I spend a lot of my time outside of the office, getting to know my clients and helping them with their accounting packages and management accounting needs.  I like to think that I am able to explain complicated tax and accounting matters in a way that my clients can really understand.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband on our lifestyle property.
